West Lodge Park Hotel

A lovely historical building in extensive beautiful grounds. Definitely the nicest hotel in the Enfield area. Room was a reasonable size and immaculate with a very comfortable bed. Would prefer a walk-in shower to the over bath we had if I was to be fussy. Buffet breakfast was all freshly cooked and nicely presented and plenty of it. All in all a very pleasant stay and will be happy to stay again.

Once again a lovely visit to West Lodge Park .A beautiful hotel with a fabulous grounds . The hotel itself has everything you need ,a beautiful old building which is well equipped & comfortable . We went for a Rhone Valley evening & really enjoyed the wines & the food .A very informative evening .The next night we ate in the bar off the restaurant menu - really excellent . As someone with mobility problems everything was there. A slope & a ramp to get to reception ,disabled toilets & a lift . Will definitely be back for a return visit - thank you

December 23 Having been to West Lodge many times me and a few friends decided on visiting again for our Christmas catch up. Unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered Smashed Avocado on sourdough with Smoked Salmon but both the presentation and quantity was not that of a restaurant but one that is best described as a canteen. We were presented with half a piece of toast smashed avocado and smoked salmon, with no garnish or lemon. Another dish was served with cold bacon which we assumed to have been left over from breakfast. It also appeared to have congealed fat on it, extremely unappealing. The price of these dishes were in the region of £12+. With those that included smoked salmon being more. We decided to raise our concerns with the server. They were very understanding but when we spoke to the manager he said this was how the chef served his food and did not offer us an alternative. They asked us whether we wanted to eat the food served to us and when we informed them that we felt the food was subpar they proceeded to just take our plates away and was very dismissive of our concerns. I understand mistakes can happen and I’m more than happy to forgive and forget but the way in which the issue was handled was the truly disappointing part of the whole experience. A objectively unsatisfactory experience and a terrible dismissive attitude from the restaurant manager! Overall a real shame and should be a serious consideration for the owners of West Lodge and anyone who is thinking about going there for Brunch. It would definitely put me off going there again.
